More of the FIB Benicàssim 2013 line up, including more headline acts, will be announced imminently. FIB 2013 will be held on July 18, 19, 20 and 21.

Headlining in 2013 at Benicàssim, The Killers will follow up their 2009 stellar performance. They return to the Festival following the solo debut of their lead singer, Brandon Flowers, with ‘Flamingo’ (2010) and the group’s fourth studio album, ‘Battle Born’ (2012).

The second headline act confirmed, Josh Homme’s Queens of the Stone Age, will appear for the first time on FIB’s Maravilla’s stage in 2013. Mystery surrounds the new album from the Californians, the first since ‘Era Vulgaris’ (2007), which is scheduled for release in 2013 and includes the latest collaboration with Dave Grohl on drums. A cryptic letter the band sent to Mojo magazine’s offices days ago stated, “These songs aren´t recollections of times we had. They are depictions of what we are going through in real time. It means even a bad event can turn into an unforgettable song”. Queens of the Stone Age are sure to deliver a memorable performance for FIB.

Fresh from supporting Noel Gallagher, Dylan-influenced Jake Bugg is confirmed. Bugg signed a record deal at the age of 17 and in just a couple of years the young retro-folk singer has achieved huge commercial success with his eponymous debut album reaching Number 1 in the UK charts.

Azealia Banks continues to gain a reputation for her live performances and the Harlem rapper and singer will showcase her phenomenally successful debut album ‘Broke with Expensive Taste’ at this year’s festival including massive hit ‘212’.

English psych-rock quartet Palma Violets, who attracted a hefty fan base before their first single, ‘Best Of Friends’, was even released, have been playing sold out shows all over the UK with ‘Best Of Friends’ recently voted Song of 2012 by NME.

South London duo Echo Lake whose debut album ‘Wild Peace’ was met with rapturous reviews have drawn comparisons with shoegaze contemporaries Beach House and Hackney’s.

Splashh continue to enjoy critical acclaim in the music press with ‘All I Wanna Do’, ‘Need It’, ‘Vacation’ or ‘Washed Out’ offering a mix of 90s nostalgia and Yuck-esque noise.

Finally, described by themselves as a cross between one Direction and Duran Duran, Birmingham’s Swim Deep just finished touring with fellow Benicàssim act Splashh following the success of their debut single ‘Honey’.

FIB Benicàssim also announces that early bird WEEKEND tickets, valid from 18th-21st July 2013 are now sold out. The next batch of 5,000 are now on sale, available at £145, and this price will remain either until March 30th, 2013 or when the 5,000 tickets are sold out, when ticket prices will then increase.

As well as weekend tickets, there are also VIP tickets on sale (£325) as well as the entrance to VillaCamp (90€).  Both Weekend tickets and VIP tickets include 8 days free camping in the Campfest camping area from  15th – 22th July.

Vince Power spoke of his delight regarding the first acts to be announced;   “I am really excited to announce The Killers and Queens of the Stone Age  as our first headline acts for FIB Benicàssim 2013.
