68TH VENICE FILM FESTIVAL: BUNGALOW 8 NIGHTS ARE BACK, AT PALAZZINA G
Bungalow 8 returns to Venice for the third time to bring Amy Sacco’s unrivalled parties to the 68th Venice Film Festival. After last year’s enormous success with the 2010 Venice Film Festival and more recently the 2011 Venice Biennale, this month will see another glamorous collaboration between Bungalow 8 and Palazzina Grassi. From the 31st August until September 10th 2011, Philippe Starck’s first hotel in Italy will be transformed into Bungalow 8 to recreate the chicest events during one of the world’s most glamorous social occasions.
Palazzina Grassi is a new generation of five-star luxury hotel. Set in luxurious surroundings, this exquisite hotel prides itself on its magical atmosphere and exceptional hospitality philosophy. The 2,800 square metre property was created by founder Emanuele Garosci, with every single element of the décor chosen to make guests feel chic, relaxed and at home.
A year and a half after the inauguration, Palazzina Grassi has been enthusiastically praised by the most important Italian and international publications including the Condè Nast Traveller Hot List 2010 and the It List 2010 Editor’s Choice Awards for Travel & Leisure USA.
Last year was the first year that infamous New York and London club Bungalow 8 came to Venice, with artists, celebrities, models, entrepreneurs, politicians and socialites all joining the party. It immediately became “the place to see and be seen” for all stars attending the Film Festival.
The list of previous celebrity party-goers is extensive, including: Quentin Tarantino, Jessica Alba, Stephen Dorff, Robert Rodriguez and Ben Affleck, Julian and Lola Schnabel, Eva Riccobono, Clive Owen, Matteo Marzotto, Violante Placido, Sabrina Impacciatore, Lapo Elkan, Bianca Brandolini d’Adda, Franco Nero, Alessandro Preziosi, Vittoria Puccini, Diego and Andrea della Valle, Aurelio De Laurentis, Jeremy Renner, Joaquin Phoenix, Casey Affleck, Harvey Weinstein and Naomi Campbell.
